Meet the Coaches
Jen is an Early Literacy Coach for the Bay-Arenac ISD. She has 15 years of relevant coaching experience as well as teaching K-5 reading intervention and grades K, 2, and 3. Jennifer has her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University and her Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education from Saginaw Valley State University. Jen is married with two teenage children that attend Bay City Public Schools. As a family they enjoy outdoor activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking and also love to explore National Parks. She is excited to continue her work as a BAISD Early Literacy Coach and loves working and partnering with local teachers.
Alex is an Early Literacy Coach for the Bay-Arenac ISD. She has 10 years of relevant teaching and coaching experience, including reading intervention and grades 2 and 3. Alexandria is in her final months working toward a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a reading emphasis from Central Michigan University and her Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education from Saginaw Valley State University. Alex is married with four young children, two of whom are with the family through the foster care system. They enjoy spending time with family and taking in community events. She is excited to continue partnering with local schools and teachers to reach their literacy instructional goals.
